Potato gun causes police to lock down school and block off roads

New York Mills, Minn. (WDAY TV) - Police in New York Mills locked down the school and blocked off roads, after the sound of gunfire. It happened yesterday around 1 in the afternoon.
Officers set up a perimeter around the block where the shots were fired. Police found the 2 people responsible, and they admitted to firing a potato gun, using walnuts as ammunition.
Officers say it sounds just like a shotgun. They say the two meant no harm, and charges are pending. 4 other agencies assisted in the case.
