The Bison are one of just 3 teams in all of FCS Football that are unbeaten. A huge reason why is the depth that Craig Bohl and his staff has been seeking for the past few seasons. Through the first 4 games this year NDSU has played without its starting left tackle, one of its starting wide receivers, and this past weekend both of it's starting safeties. But the Bison have kept on winning thanks to the development of the backups.
Craig Bohl – 65-30 Record as Head Coach: “It's the biggest reason we're undefeated right now, anytime in years past we've had some injuries have not had the depth we had, eventually those things come back to haunt you and as you get in big games, Minnesota, Illinois State, to go against Illinois State a very capable passing team with 2 backup safeties I think it speaks volumes as far as where our depth is at, really pleased how those guys have played.”
The latest FCS Coaches Poll is out. NDSU moves up one spot to 5, Georgia Southern remains on top. NDSU's next opponent Southern Illinois clocks in at 17. Plenty of local flavor in the teens, South Dakota at 18 and UND up 4 spots to 20.
