ND man plans to plead guilty to assaulting officer
BISMARCK, N.D. (AP) — A Fort Yates man says he will plead guilty in federal court to striking a police officer.
BISMARCK, N.D. (AP) — A Fort Yates man says he will plead guilty in federal court to striking a police officer.
Floyd Montclair is charged with assaulting and resisting a federal officer. He faces a maximum penalty of eight years in prison.
Authorities say the 22-year-old Montclair struck the officer numerous times before he was eventually subdued with a Taser. The incident happened Aug. 6.
A plea hearing has not been scheduled.
