Silvernail murder trial underway

Wahpeton, ND (WDAY TV) - The murder trial of Jeffrey Silvernail is underway in Wilkin County.

The murder trial of Jeffrey Silvernail is underway in Wilkin County. Opening statements were heard this morning. Silvernail is accused of shooting his estranged girlfriend, Lori Roberts. He faces both first- and second-degree murder charges. If convicted on the first-degree charge Silvernail will face a mandatory prison term of life without chance for parole.
