For the first time in 50 years Roger Maris is the talk of New York. Tomorrow the Yankees will honor Roger’s historic feat of breaking Babe Ruth's single-season homerun mark when he hit 16 homeruns in 1961.

Our journey has taken us to the Bronx, and the house that Jeter built - Yankee Stadium, where tomorrow night, Roger Maris will be honored for breaking the most hallowed mark in all of sports. Earlier today, I spoke with 2 of Roger's sons, who now realize the big day is almost here.

Randy Maris – Roger’s Son: “I'm finally kind of going, it's almost here. It’s a long wait, but I'm really excited.”

Kevin Maris – Roger’s Son: “To be able to come up here, to New York, where dad played, come to yankee stadium is itself a treat, then to be able to celebrate the 50th anniversary just makes it that much more special.

The ceremony will be before tomorrow night's New York – Boston game. The Maris and Mantle families will be there, as well as former teammates. After a video tribute, the Yankees will make a donation to the Roger Maris Cancer Center in Fargo.
