If you're in a hurry, speeding through red lights may not be the best idea this week. The Fargo Police Department is doing a red light crackdown today and tomorrow. Police will be posted at several intersections throughout Fargo watching for drivers who don't stop at red lights. The crackdown is being funded by an Accident and Crime Reduction Grant.

Sgt. Mark Lykken – Fargo Police Department: “Our primary focus is for people to be out and see us and remind them, you need to stop for red lights. If you do go through a red light and there's an officer there, you will get a ticket.”

The fine for not stopping at a red light is $20 in Fargo.
