Hillsboro woman sentenced to 65 years for fatally shooting her husband

Kaur was initially charged with murder, but pleaded guilty to first-degree manslaughter in June.
Hillsboro, ND (WDAY TV) - A former Hillsboro woman, convicted in the shooting death of her husband, is sentenced to 65 years in prison.
The shooting happened last November. 28-year old Amanda Kaur will be eligible for parole after 32-and-a-half years.
Kaur was initially charged with murder, but pleaded guilty to first-degree manslaughter in June. She claimed her husband, Ira, had botched a suicide.
She left with her 2-children, and came back to fire the fatal shot.
