West Fargo's Sheyenne diversion will be getting a cleaning more than 3 months later than expected. This week will be the first time crews can get in the Diversion to clean out debris and silt from spring flooding. The city says it needs to be cleaned so it can hold the highest volume of water possible. The silt and debris has made the diversion much narrower. The city typically cleans it out in June.
George Grossman – City of West Fargo: “Mother Nature has not been very nice this year, ya know. Everything just works around her.>
It will take a few weeks to clean out the diversion so it’s ready for winter.
