Maris hits 2-run homerun in the 12th inning for number 58

(WDAY Sports) - Our countdown to 61 continues. 50 years ago today, Roger Maris slugged number 58 off Detroit pitcher Terry Fox.

This 2-run homerun broke a 4-all tie in the 12th inning, helping the Yankees to the 6-4 victory. It was Maris's second straight game with a homerun.
