BISMARCK, N.D. (AP) — Limited deer hunting is being allowed in three North Dakota state parks this fall.
The state Parks and Recreation Department says that beginning Oct. 1, bow hunting for antlered or antlerless deer will be permitted at Fort Stevenson State Park near Garrison.
Hunters can shoot deer at Grahams Island State Park near Devils Lake during the bow, gun and muzzleloader seasons. The park also will be open for turkey hunting beginning Oct. 8.
Hunting will be allowed in the northern two-thirds of Fort Ransom State Park in the Sheyenne River Valley during the regular deer gun season Nov. 4-20. After that season the entire park will be open to deer bow hunting.
Special hunting permits are needed at all three parks.
