As ridership continues to grow, MATBUS is continuing to make major changes to its routes. Starting January 2nd, route 15 will now make stops every 15 minutes. Right now the downtown Fargo to West Acres route makes stops every half-hour. The bus takes an average of 30 riders an hour which can cause a standing room only crowd.
Jim Gilmour – Fargo Planning Director: “It's really important for us to have enough capacity on that route because people might be coming in from Moorhead or West Fargo and they want to use that corridor.”
Gilmour says ridership continues to be on pace with last years record levels.
