Jamestown, ND (WDAY TV) - Every year, farmers get sick or injured, putting a burden on planting or harvesting their crops. That's where Farm Rescue comes in. Now, thousands of dollars are being raised to support those farmers who need it the most.
Today, Stutsman Harley is teaming up with Farm rescue to raise awareness and money for farmers in need. Today's Rolling for Farm Rescue event featured several giveaways, including this brand new, specially labeled Harley Davidson.
The event featured a classic car and bike show as well games galore for kids. Over the last few years, Farm Rescue has helped more than 150 farmers plant and harvest their crops in times of need.
PAM MUSLAND - Director of Operations, Farm Rescue: “It's an incredible feeling our volunteers will tell you, there's nothing like that. If a farmer can't get his crop off the field or in the field. It takes a lot for a farm family to ask for assistance.”
More than 20-thousand dollars was raised over the last couple months in support of today's event. Companies donated all the items that were given away.
