Firefighters, policemen, and the sheriff's department are getting ready for a somber September 11th ceremony. They're practicing raising a fire-truck ladder over the river on the Veterans Memorial Bridge. On Sunday morning forces from both Fargo-Moorhead and both Cass and Clay Sheriff's Department will meet in the middle of the bridge. “Taps" and "Amazing Grace" will be played on bugles, and the short ceremony will end with firemen dropping wreaths of remembrance into the Red.
Matt Nelson – Fargo Fire Department: "People who lay the wreaths on the tomb of the unknown soldier every day. We just thought it was a nice, symbolic way to honor those who died that day."
They will start marching at 8:30 Sunday morning.
