Bikers peddle across the country for a good cause
Fargo, ND (WDAY TV) - A group of bicyclists is peddling across the country to raise awareness of something most of us take for granted.By: WDAY Staff Reports, WDAY
Five riders are spending the night in Fargo on a 36 state, 88 hundred mile journey, lasting until mid-November. It's called the h2O ride.
The team is trying to raise 175 thousand dollars for Living Water International, a charity that builds water wells in impoverished countries. 884 million people are drinking dirty water. 2.2 million die from water related diseases every year.
JOEL FARRIS – Rider: “We wanted each mile we ride to represent one person that we could save from a life of dirty water or death of dirty water.”
The riders will stop in Wadena tomorrow. If you'd like to donate, go to www.h2oride.org.
