ST. CLOUD, Minn. (AP) — Stearns County authorities are waiting for toxicology results for a Burnsville man who died while in custody last week.
Twenty-two-year-old Jeffrey Michael Magee was found unresponsive in his cell on the morning of Aug. 24. He was taken to a hospital where he was pronounced dead.
Sheriff John Sanner says the initial indication is that the death was related to a medical problem. He says there's no indication that Magee harmed himself.
Magee was booked into the jail early that morning after he was arrested on suspicion of drunken driving. A St. Cloud Times report (http://bit.ly/nL4hYt ) says jail staffers found him unresponsive while performing routine checks.
