Woman pleads guilty to child abuse
BISMARCK, N.D. (AP) — A 32-year-old North Dakota woman pleaded guilty to a charge of child abuse in Indian country.

U.S. Attorney Timothy Purdon says Sally F. Sees The Elk, of Fort Yates, pleaded guilty to hitting a child sometime between October 2009 and February 2010.
The charge of child abuse in Indian country carries a maximum penalty of five years in federal prison and a $250,000 fine.
Sentencing has been set for Nov. 14.
