Crookston, Minn. (WDAY TV) - Paramedics recount the tense moments after arriving on the scene to help shooting victim Deputy Christopher Dewey.
One of the paramedics testified during the Thomas Fairbanks trial that they found Dewey in the snow and thought he was dead. They rolled him on his side and he tried to sit up and kept saying "Doug".
Doug is Mahnomen County Sheriff Doug Krier, Dewey's boss at the time. The ambulance crew also found two gunshot wounds, one to his head the other to his torso.
Fairbanks faces life in prison if convicted of murder.
