Kitchen fire causes smoke damage to Edgeley armory

EDGELEY, N.D. (AP) — Smoke damage to the North Dakota National Guard armory in Edgeley is estimated at as much as $10,000.

City Administrator Joe Neis tells The Jamestown Sun (http://bit.ly/qcAm6e ) that the smoke came from a kitchen fire last Thursday, when the city-owned building had been rented for a private function. He says material left on the stove ignited.

Two people including a firefighter suffered minor burns.
