Bismarck Community Bowl to get $8M upgrade
BISMARCK, N.D. (AP) — Officials have unveiled an $8 million plan to upgrade the Bismarck Community Bowl.
BISMARCK, N.D. (AP) — Officials have unveiled an $8 million plan to upgrade the Bismarck Community Bowl.
The Bismarck Tribune reports (http://bit.ly/nlhxLS ) that the project is to include suites, new locker rooms, a new track and new concession stands for the facility that is used primarily by Bismarck-area high schools and colleges for sporting events.
Users are to pay $3 million of the project cost. The other $5 million is to be raise privately. Bismarck-based MDU Resources already has pledged $2 million.
Construction is tentatively set to begin after the state track meet in 2012 and wrap up before football begins that fall.
