Fargo students hear from national bullying expert

Fargo, ND (WDAY TV) - With the North Dakota legislature recently passing anti-bullying laws, schools are putting this issue on the front burner.

With the North Dakota legislature recently passing anti-bullying laws, schools are putting this issue on the front burner. Nearly 1,700 Fargo teachers and staff heard the message of the importance of safe and healthy students in today's classrooms. Nationally recognized expert Dr. Stephen Sroka spoke at the Fargodome. Sroka has spoken around the world about the importance of inspiring and motivating kids and the dangers of deadly bullying.

Dr. Stephen Sroka – Motivational Speaker: “You have to remember, most kids who are bullying are doing it for attention they want someone it is a cry for help it is no one trying to be bad deal with them rather than later.”

Sroka speaks tonight to parents and students at 7:00 at South High. Tomorrow he will talk to all Middle Schools in Fargo.
