Chris Coste had a chance to experience nearly everything you can at the major league level...from breaking into the majors at age 33 to winning a World Championship in 2008. Today after trying to rehab for 2 years from an elbow injury, Coste retired to take an assistant job with his alma mater at Concordia. Coste said it was time to walk away after constant nagging injuries.

Chris Coste: “I definitely had time to let it sink in I think when I was going through it was almost like a dream like state, I would equate it to winning the lottery if you won the lottery you would be in such disbelief that wouldn't sink in you had a great career you had nothing to be frustrated about I far exceeded my expectations I got a world series ring and it was an incredible ride and the good ting is I still get to do something involved with baseball. I will always be involved with baseball somehow so it's just another chapter to the book.”

Coste told me he has no regrets about walking away and will continue his TV work with Comcast in Philly.
