MEDORA, N.D. (AP) — Officials in the tourist town of Medora say they had to look outside North Dakota to fill their summer staffing needs because of the state's low unemployment rate.

People from 22 states and 18 countries have been working at Medora this summer. Officials say many of the workers are retired and travel the country, usually in RVs, doing seasonal work.

Some of the international workers are in the country as part of a college exchange program. Countries represented in the Medora work force range from Mongolia to Sri Lanka.
