After winning back to back class 2-A titles, a new era is underway for the Shanley football program. Head coach Steve Laqua left in the off-season to take the head coaching job at MSU-Moorhead. But his successor Ron Oksendahl is no stranger to the game or winning, having won 4 state crowns as head coach at Cavalier. The Deacons also have to replace a number of key players on offense, including all-state QB Miles Montplaiser. It's no secret the gameplan will have to be different.
