FARGO, N.D. (AP) — The pilot of a Chinese-made trainer airplane that landed without its landing gear down at a weekend air show in North Dakota says he doesn't know yet what went wrong.
Jeffrey Boulware of Brookings, S.D., tells The Forum newspaper (http://bit.ly/pPZMcx) that he needs to consult with the Federal Aviation Administration, which is investigating the Sunday incident at the Fargo AirSho.
Boulware is a retired Air Force colonel and an aviation program leader at South Dakota State University. He says he hopes to find a new propeller and other parts quickly so he can fly his Nanchang C-J 6 plane back to Brookings.
