FARGO, N.D. (AP) — The Federal Aviation Administration will be investigating an incident at a weekend air show in Fargo in which a plane landed without its landing gear down.
The Forum newspaper reports (http://bit.ly/nUUtPu) that the pilot was not hurt in the Sunday incident, which delayed a performance by the U.S. Navy's Blue Angels team for about 30 minutes as crews removed the damaged plane from the runway.
Fargo AirSho committee co-chairman Darrol Schroeder says the plane suffered damage to its engine and propeller.
The pilot's name and the model of airplane involved were not immediately released.
Officials estimate that a record 30,000 people attended the two-day show.
