South Fargo, ND (WDAY TV) -- Contractors are working like crazy to get 25th street south, finished and open before all the activity next week. For the last several weeks, crews have installed a new sanitary trunk system, three round-abouts, and paved a mile and a half stretch of 25th street all the way to Davies High School.
Contractors will still have work to do in the area, but the entire street will open to traffic Tuesday. It will take some more time before pedestrian and bike traffic can use that stretch of 25th street. The city says with 25th open to traffic, people need to know some east-west roads will be closed and worked on next. City of Fargo Engineer, Jonathan Youness, says, “beginning Wednesday of next week we are shutting down 76th avenue to finish 76th avenue. So for basically wed thru the weekend that stretch will be closed so traffic to Davies will have to some from 25th street.
