Fargo, ND (WDAY TV) -- Experiencing their own chance of a lifetime, Veterans from around the region were given a V-I-P spot to watch practice for the Fargo Air Sho. Veterans from areas like Lisbon and Fergus Falls got a chance to see these jets up close. They were escorted from their vet homes to the airport by the North Dakota Patriot Guard and U-S Military Vets. We caught up with one veteran right before he started watching, and he says he's been excited about seeing the Blue Angels for quite a while. Veteran, Arne Erickson, says “I’m looking forward to it and I know they are going to be super good. They are so well-known, and they are so good, seeing them on television." Erickson served in the U-S Navy from 1951 to 1953. He says seeing the Angels helps keep his patriotism strong, and makes you appreciate how important military members are for this nation.
