HASTINGS, Minn. (AP) — A Dakota County judge handed down a one-year jail term and an unusually long 40 years on probation for a 26-year-old woman who cyber-stalked a woman and her family.

The Star Tribune reports Friday (http://bit.ly/nO4zZN)that Judge Richard Spicer told Kaley Hennessy of Lakeville that if she contacts the family again she will serve a nearly seven-year prison sentence.

Court documents indicate Hennessy was obsessed with the 31-year-old Dakota County woman and her family after the victim's brother-in-law broke up with Hennessy. They say Hennessy set up fake MySpace and Twitter accounts in the name of the victim and her sons, signed her up for dating service and pornography sites, and posed as a family member to send nasty emails to other relatives.

Dakota County Attorney James Backstrom tells the newspaper it's the longest probation sentence he's ever seen.
