There were many loud rumbles in the sky today, and they weren’t thunder. The Blue Angels flew a practice run for the Fargo Air Show this weekend. They will show different maneuvers and flight patterns used in the military. Pilots say some maneuvers can get up to 8 G's. The average person's G tolerance is about 3.5 G's. A three month training period goes into preparing for the shows.
Lt. Ben Walborn – Blue Angel #5: "They are going to see the six planes including Blue Angel # 5 behind me, kind of demonstrate all kinds of military flying from close formation flying to maximum performing the aircraft. They will see all in a 40 to 45 minute routine."
The Blue Angels will fly both Saturday and Sunday during the air show. Gates open at 9:00 am.
