Police say Mellow Mood, and its owner, Andrew Leikas, posssessed and sold fake pot. A sample was taken from the store, and sent to the Bureau of Criminal Apprehension's lab. It tested positive for synthetic marijuana.
SHANNON MONROE - Deputy Chief, Moorhead Police: "Prior to July 1, our detectives went to every one of the stores and provided them both verbal and written information on the new law."
Pyromaniacs, another smoke shop in downtown Moorhead, faces the same charge.
