ISANTI, Minn. (AP) — Authorities say a Minnesota mother was killed and two of her children were critically injured when a 16-year-old driver ran a stop sign and hit the family's vehicle.

The Minnesota State Patrol says 30 year-old Christin Birkholz of Isanti died in the Sunday evening crash in southern Isanti County. Ten year-old Logan and 1 year-old Mason Birkholz were taken by helicopter to Hennepin County Medical Center in Minneapolis. A third sibling, 4 year-old Bailey was treated and released from a local hospital.
The teenager driver and two passengers were treated at a local hospital. The crash remains under investigation.
