CAVALIER, N.D. (AP) — A Pembina man has been convicted of murder in the shooting death of a Walhalla man.
WDAZ-TV reports that a jury on Friday convicted Miguel Medina-Romero of murder and two drug charges. He was found not guilty of tampering with evidence.
Medina-Romero is in his mid-20s. Authorities say he shot and killed 19-year-old B.J. Kallis outside Medina-Romero's home in Pembina last October, then called 911 claiming to have shot an intruder in self-defense.
