Fargo, ND (WDAY TV) - The Red River Zoo is making the rare...Common.

By: WDAY Staff Reports, WDAY

The Red River Zoo is making the rare...Common. For the second time in three years the zoo's endangered Chinese Red Pandas have had triplets!! One female and two males were born on June 20th. The cubs were born to Wei Da (Way - dah), one of the triplets born in 2009, and Rusty...

Red pandas are the hardest to breed in captivity.... because the parents are only interested in each other for one day out of the entire year! At 6 weeks old, the babies are now about a pound and doing great. And zoo keepers say Wei Da is a great mom! The cubs aren't on exhibit just yet. A total of 11 cubs have now been born in Fargo.
