Fairbanks trial jury selection postponed over evidence
(WDAY TV) - An unexpected delay in the trial of Thomas Fairbanks, the man accused of shooting Mahnomen County Deputy Chris Dewey.By: WDAY Staff Reports, WDAY

Jury selection today was postponed over whether the defense could introduce evidence Fairbanks was drunk when he allegedly shot Dewey in February of 2009.
The 34-year old Fairbanks is charged with 1st degree murder, and many other charges. Dewey died in August of last year, after a long struggle.
The court is not making Fairbanks wear arm or leg restraints, but there is extra security in the courtroom.
