BISMARCK, N.D. (AP) — A 23-year-old Beulah man died after a head-on crash Tuesday evening near Dakota Gasification Company north of Beulah.
The Bismarck Tribune reports that Tyler Holder was pronounced dead at Sakakawea Medical Center in Hazen.
Det. Mark Schmitt of the Mercer County Sheriff's Department said the accident happened at about 6:35 p.m. on County Road 26.
Holder was northbound on the road on his way to work at the mine, Schmitt said. His vehicle was struck head-on by another vehicle that crossed the center line traveling south around the curve.
Schmitt said 41-year-old Memory Ell was driving the vehicle. Ell and two passengers in the vehicle, a 9-year-old boy and a 1-year-old girl, were transported to a hospital, treated and released.
The cause of the crash is still under investigation.
