North Dakota man injured after crash landing plane in Minnesota slough

FERGUS FALLS, Minn. – A pilot from North Dakota sustained minor injuries when his airplane crashed into a slough Thursday in Otter Tail County.

FERGUS FALLS, Minn. – A pilot from North Dakota sustained minor injuries when his airplane crashed into a slough Thursday in Otter Tail County.

Louren Orwick, 46, of Michigan, N.D., was flying the crop duster to Fergus Falls when he had to make a forced landing into the slough along County Highway 15, according to a news release from Otter Tail County Sheriff’s Deputy Bryan Ziegler.

The airplane was removed and taken to the Fergus Falls airport. It wasn’t clear from the news release what caused the crash, which happened at 7:26 p.m.
