Volunteer projects for 19 different non-profit agencies are taking place throughout the community for the fourth annual Day of Action. United Way of Cass-Clay is one of the hundreds of United Ways across the nation participating in the national day of service. Over 180 volunteers from 15 businesses participated. We were at the Great Plains Food Bank, where volunteers are putting together food and cleaning supply boxes for flood evacuees in Minot.

Marcia Paulson – Great Plains Food Bank: “The timing is perfect for United Ways Day of Action. We have a great group of Folks who are here lending their talents and their time to this effort and we really are greatful for that.”

Volunteers came from Fargo South Cheer Squad and Rasmussen College. Their goal is to assemble 2000 care boxes that will be shipped to Minot tomorrow.
