Moorhead, Minn. (WDAY TV) - The owner of a Moorhead business could be facing charges after police found 2,000 bags of a banned substance during a search last night.

Yassin Wazwaz, the owner of Pyromaniacs Smoke Shop in Moorhead could facing charges for the sale of synthetic marijuana. A state law went into effect in Minnesota on July 1st, banning the sale of the substances.

Moorhead police learned that the store was selling an item believed to be illegal under the law. A sample was sent to the BCA lab to be analyzed and was determined to, in fact, be illegal.

Last night, the police department executed a search warrant of the shop and confiscated nearly 2,000 bags of the banned substance, along with financial records and cash.
