The Mini-Society summer camp is doing what it can to teach the youth how to run a smart small business. The camp is being help in Wahpeton and Breckenridge this week and will end on Friday. It gives 9 to 13 year olds the opportunity to experience real life risks and rewards of business ownership. The camp is very hands on and allows the kids to to use all of their natural creativity.
Barry Streigel – Camp Director: “Next week we are going to hold the camp in Minot. We had originally thought we may have to cancel the camp because of all the problems in Minot.”
Striegel hopes the students will take what they have learned and be able to open new businesses right here in North Dakota in the future.
