FARGO, N.D. (AP) — North Dakota State University golfer Amy Anderson says she'll return for her junior and senior seasons.
Anderson, of Oxbow, recently returned from the U.S. Women's Open, where she finished 63rd at 17 over par but drew national attention when she spent time atop the leaderboard as an amateur during the first round.
She tells The Forum newspaper she has no plans to turn professional. She says she's "sticking around" NDSU for two more years.
Anderson qualified for the U.S. Women's Open in Colorado Springs, Colo., by winning a qualifying tournament in Minnesota last spring. She also qualified last spring for the NCAA Division I national championship, where she tied for 12th.
