Crews work to restore power in Oakes after Sunday's severe weather

Oakes, ND (WDAY TV) - Power Companies in Oakes are still trying to get everybody back on after Sunday's thunderstorm wiped out the entire town.
About 160 homes were still without power this morning. Crews patched up a primary line mid-morning that took care of 60 of those homes, and then the afternoon was spent patching individual damaged spots.
Only around 20 homes are still without power. They'll need an electrician to fix wires that were torn from the homes. At the peak, all 800 homes in Oakes were without power.
