MORRIS, Minn. (AP) — Two rural Minnesota brothers have been charged in the death of their mother, whose remains were found last week buried in the backyard of her home in Alberta in west-central Minnesota.
The Forum for Fargo-Moorhead reports (http://bit.ly/nONyUO) 17-year-old Jacob Seth Cobb was charged Monday in Stevens County District Court with second-degree intentional murder.
Eighteen-year-old Andrew Quinton Cobb has been charged as an accessory after the fact to murder. Stevens County Sheriff Randy Willis says a third brother is in custody but has not been charged.
That brother told authorities in May that he saw his brother, Jacob, put a plastic bag over their mother's head and a belt around her neck.
Andrew Cobb stated that he witnessed the alleged incident and that in the spring he helped the third brother bury their mother under a shed.
