Wyndmere hit hard by storms

Wyndmere, ND (WDAY TV) - Straight line winds caused massive destruction in Southeastern North Dakota.

Straight line winds caused massive destruction in Southeastern North Dakota. Wyndmere, the town of just over 500 saw nearly 300 trees blow over. Town officials say wind speeds peaked between 60 and 70 miles per hour. Unlike here in Oakes, power in Wyndmere has been restored.

Seth Springer - Wyndmere Mayor: “The wind was nuts, strongest winds I've ever seen. And it didn’t quit. It kept on for about 45-minutes to an hour.”
