Police say Russell Thompson III was the driver of the vehicle that crashed in to a South Moorhead business. Police say alcohol was a factor in the accident.
According to a Facebook page created for Thompson, his father was also killed in an alcohol related car crash in Moorhead in 2009. The vehicle Russel Thompson was driving, was reported stolen from Dilworth Tuesday morning.
LT. TORY JACOBSON - Moorhead Police: “Well in a situation like this, time is on our side, we are not in any hurry to jump to conclusions as far as the totality of the circumstances. So we make sure that we methodically go through each step.”
Police are still investigating, and don't believe any one else was involved.
