Barnes County Sheriff Randy McClaflin says a hose blew off the ammonia tank, and the liquid fumes hit the man's body at a fertilizer plant in Wimbledon on Friday morning.
McClaflin tells KOVC radio that the man was flown to a Fargo hospital before being transferred to a Twin Cities hospital for treatment.
The man's identity and condition has not been released.
