The 4th of July can be a good time with friends and family, but it brings with it safety concerns. One of the best things about the Fourth is one of the most dangerous. Fireworks are the leading cause of injury this weekend. Most can be prevented.
Casey Rogstad – Bismarck Rural Fire Dept: "Every year nation wide there are thousands of injuries that have to do with fire works and most of the time it's with children so we always stress adult supervision."
1. Pay attention to your surroundings.
2. Dry spots in grass can catch fire.
3. Keep fireworks away from bonfires or heat and have a bucket of water nearby.
