Authorities release ID of Backus shooting victim

BACKUS, Minn. (AP) — The Cass County sheriff has released the name of a 63-year-old man found dead of a gunshot wound in Backus — and the sheriff says the man in custody for the shooting is the victim's brother.

Sheriff Tom Burch says Christian David Kruckow was found dead Tuesday morning.

His 73-year-old brother is in custody at the Cass County Detention Center.
