The 28th annual Roger Maris Celebrity Golf Tournament is getting underway at Rose Creek. Former vikings quarterback Tommy Kramer using his chipping wedge instead of that rocket age-less arm. Nice Vikings bag, too.
The putt of the day has to go to Ken Sanders. Check it out, wearing red just like tiger on Sunday. He's going to get it to drop.
Moorhead native Mark Ladwig is back again this year. The 2010 Olympic pairs figure skater says he grew up idolizing Maris, and views it as a huge honor to play for him.
A couple of popular basketball coaches were on the course today as well. Bison head man Saul Phillips and Northern Iowa's Ben Jacobson. Jacobson, who spent plenty of time in the Sioux and Bison families got to play with a bunch of his family today. The Mayville native is about to enter his 6th year as head coach of the Panthers, and despite finishing 4th in the Missouri Valley last season, he says he has the guys to get back on top.
