F-M RedHawks manager reaches 1,000 wins
FARGO, N.D. (AP) — Fargo-Moorhead RedHawks manager Doug Simunic (SIM'-ih-nik) has reached 1,000 wins in his career.

The Forum newspaper reports that Simunic reached the milestone Sunday when the RedHawks beat the Sioux City Explorers 4-3 in an American Association game.
Simunic is a veteran of independent baseball. He is in the midst of his 19th professional season and his 16th with the RedHawks. He also had short stints in Rochester, Minn., and Winnipeg, Alberta.
