The flooding in Minot is forcing exotic animals out of their homes and into unfamiliar territory states away. The Roosevelt Park Zoo evacuated animals. Three giraffes, two lions, two tigers, and two leopards had to be brought to a wildlife park in Kansas. That park is one of the closest places with enough space to handle so many big cats.

Matt Fouts – Tanganyika Wildlife Park: "They've been doing great they all have nice outdoor areas and they've gotten used to the keepers and they're eating well so everyone is doing well."

It could be fall before the Minot Zoo re-opens.
